Nose Correction (Rhinoplasty)

During rhinoplasty, the nose is surgically shaped.
- *Effects of travel:* Travel should be avoided for the first 1-2 weeks. Air travel and pressure fluctuations can increase swelling of the nose.
- *Effects on work:* People who do light work can return to work within 1 week. Those who do physically demanding work may take 2-3 weeks.
- *Social life:* Due to bandages and swelling in the nose, one may feel uncomfortable in social settings during the first few weeks. Light social activities are recommended.
- *Recommendations after surgery:*
- During the first week, pressure on the nose and strenuous activities should be avoided.
- It is recommended to keep your head elevated while sleeping to reduce swelling.
- The stitches in the nose are usually removed after a week. The final shape of the nose develops over the course of several months.
- Heavy physical activities and impacts to the nose should be avoided for 2-4 weeks.
