Breast Reduction / Breast Enlargement (Silicone implants)

During these procedures, the breast tissue is surgically reduced or enlarged by inserting silicone implants.
- *Effects of travel:* Travel is not recommended for 2-4 weeks. Pressure and prolonged sitting may increase swelling.
- *Effects on work:* People doing light work can return to work after one week. For people doing physical work, this period can be 2-3 weeks.
- *Social life:* Due to tenderness in the chest area, it may be difficult to move freely in social settings. Heavy physical activities should be avoided for about 2-3 weeks.
- *Recommendations after surgery:*
- A sports bra should be worn for the first month and pressure on the chest area should be avoided.
- Avoid raising your arms too high.
- Since swelling may occur during the healing process, adequate fluid intake is important.
- To aid healing of the sutures, strenuous exercise and swimming should be avoided for 4-6 weeks.
